This game was really a trial game to test out our house rules. Below is the line-up, we weren't to phased about points, we just wanted the game to progress enough to test out our house rules.
Initial line up across the board
Ork horde starts it's charge.
View from the Ultra Marine ranks
Mega Nobz charge directly through the centre.
Ork Horde and Warboss move up the right flank with a Deffdread in support.
Captain on the hill gives the scout snipers the go ahead to fire.
Left flank horde attack gets devastated with sniper fire.
Right flank horde attack gets whittled down by the tactical squad and then finished off by sniper fire to follow the other horde. All in all, the scout snipers are very effective at distance.
Mega Nobz continue their charge.
Finally, a bad Ork dice roll
Tactical squad splits into 2 sections to join the Terminators to deal with the right flank
After the Tactical squad and snipers deal with the right flank horde, the Terminators now face the might of the Mega Nobz (hoping for good dice rolls).
It was not to be! Another bad Space Marine dice roll!
Followed by a rather good Ork dice roll! This was the way the dice tended to go.
The Deff Dread joined into support the Nobz. The Ironclad Dreadnought joins in the battle.
And another anything but a one, delivers two ones!
Deffdread on Dreadnought. The Dreadnought triumphed.
The final battle on turn7. The Orks triumph and kill the Space Marine Captain. At this point, the Orks had lost two hordes and the space marines had lost their tactical squad and Terminators as well as their Captain, leaving the wounded Dreadnought and Scouts. An Ork Victory.
